User Accounts and Profiles

Adding or Editing Your Account Recovery Details

How to add or edit your account recovery details in NMLS.

Procedure

Navigate to the NMLS Login page.
- State context.
- Federal context.
Log in to your NMLS account.
Access your user profile. See Accessing Your User Profile for steps.
Select the Recovery Details tab.
Select the Add/Edit button.
Enter your password.
Select the desired recovery method from the Recovery Method drop-down menu.
Enter the recovery method information.
Select the Submit button.
Verify the account recovery method by copying the one-time verification code that is sent to the email address or phone number you provided.

Note: If you haven’t received your code after a few minutes, check your spam folder or select the Resend Code link on the confirmation page.
Select the Verify button.
